1. LSS Exam Revision Seminars

The LSS Revision Seminars are back for 2017!

If you are after a HD or are simply looking to pass and you don’t feel like you can quite yet smash out perfect exam answers at the tip of a hat, these Revision Seminars are just the thing to get you to that point of enlightenment where you’ll be laughing all the way to a cracking score.

The LSS tutors that have been working tirelessly over this semester will be capping off all their endeavours with a 90-minute extravaganza. Why go? Because they’ll be breaking down exam answers bit-by-bit so you know exactly how to issue spot, define concepts and apply the law to a scenario.

For more information and the Seminar Timetable, visit the Facebook event.

3. Neighbourhood Justice Centre: ‘Courting Solutions’ Mock Trial

Going beyond business-as-usual ‘blame and sanction’ justice, Courting Solutions shows what happens when treatment services work in a court that applies justice with people, instead of at or for them.

Designed for Law & Welfare students, the event seeks to illustrate how the NJC brings together defence, prosecutions, and case workers (drug and alcohol) within a criminal matter to assist the offender to find the solutions required to break the cycle of offending.

These techniques are unique to the NJC – the only full-service, holistic justice centre of this kind in Australia.

A mock trial illustrating the ground-breaking techniques used by the Neighbourhood Justice Centre’s Client Services and legal practitioners at this one-of-a-kind problem solving court, Courting Solutions is designed for practitioners who want to help their clients break the cycle of offending.

Expertly moderated, Courting Solutions stars Fitzroy Legal Service, Victoria Legal Aid, Victoria Police Prosecutors and NJC’s Client Services case workers and Magistrate.

To book please see here.
