1. Us Too? Bullying and Sexual Harassment in the Legal Profession
The largest-ever global survey of legal professionals has revealed startling rates of bullying and sexual harassment in the legal profession:
- 1 in 2 women and 1 in 3 men have experienced bullying in the workplace;
- 1 in 3 women have been sexually harassed;
- Half to three-quarters of bullying and sexual harassment cases are not reported.

5. Secure Yourself as a Freelancer
As the gig economy continues its rapid growth in Australia and across the world, an increasing number of businesses are turning to freelancers to complete a range of tasks. The Australian Industry Group found that over one third of Australians were engaged in some form of freelance work over the past year.
The most in-demand freelance jobs cut across a variety of different skill sets, including: mobile and software development, graphic design, excel data entry, copywriting and proofreading. Yet, one thing almost all freelancers have in common is a need for more clarity around their legal obligations with contractors.

6. Supply Chain Fundamentals Course
What is a supply chain and how does it makes our modern lives possible?
The Wayfinder Supply Chain Fundamentals Cours is a free, half-day course, which will explain the basic functions and flows of a supply chain. It is presented by VICT (Victoria International Container Terminal).
You will learn why managing real-life supply chains can be a complex, challenging but a crucial task.
Topics covered include the basic trade-offs in supply chain management, modern ethics considerations, and an overview of the emerging technologies that promise to underpin the supply chains of tomorrow.

8. National Law Honours Student Conference
The National Law Honours Student Conference provides graduating LLB and JD students and recent graduates with the opportunity to present their law honours research, senior research thesis or comparable major research project in an academic setting.
Session chairs in the students’ research field will offer constructive feedback and advice, including possible publication.
There is a $1,500 prize for best presentation sponsored by the Australian Academy of Law.
The conference is held on Saturday 7 December in Sydney. Attendance is free and lunch and drinks are provided. A keynote address will be provided by Dr Sacha Molitorisz of the Faculty of Law, University of Technology Sydney.
