1. Q&A with former Chief Justice of Supreme Court [Updated registration link]

Prof the Hon Marilyn Warren AC QC had an inspiring and trail-blazing law career which saw her rise through the ranks and ultimately become Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

She was the first female Chief Justice appointed to this position in both Victorian and Australian history.

Since her retirement from the Court, Prof Warren has joined Monash University as a Vice-Chancellor’s Professorial Fellow.

This special event is your opportunity to ask Prof Warren your questions about her career journey and learn her tips for building resilience and finding success in your career.

2. Clerkship Masterclass

Are you about to undertaking a winter clerkship or traineeship? 

If so, don’t miss attending our Clerkship Masterclass.

The Masterclass is designed to deliver essential and practical skills relating to research, including:

  • Writing
  • Preparing memos
  • Using legal databases
  • Tips to work effectively during the Clerkship
Provided to Monash Law students, presenters will include lawyers, expert staff from the Law Library and a Monash law student.

3. Need Tax Return Help?

Tax Help is a network of ATO-trained and accredited Monash student volunteers who provide a free and confidential service to help people complete their tax returns online using myTax.

Appointments are available from the 1st of July – 31st of October and will be run on Zoom until further notice.

4. Virtual Campus Tours, Website Tours, O Social Events  

MSA Volunteering is hosting an array of virtual orientation events and tours from mid-July.  

Including online campus tours, faculty website tours, Q&As, chat sessions, trivia nights, Netflix parties, a Virtual Melbourne Scavenger Hunt and Virtual Monash Amazing Race.

All events are hosted by Monash students for Monash students.
