 1. Aurora Native Title Internship Program

The Program introduces law students to career opportunities in native title, policy, social justice and Indigenous affairs and aims to provide assistance to under-resourced and over-worked Native Title Representative Bodies (NTRBs) and Native Title Service Providers (NTSPs) and others.

There are two intakes for interns annually, during the summer and winter university breaks, for 5 to 6 weeks. Applications open in March and August of each year.

Applications are open to law students who have completed, or are currently completing, the Property Law component of their legal studies.

The on-line application period for the winter 2010 round of internships is from Monday 8 March to Thursday 1 April, 2010.

3. Piper Alderman Law Clerk Vacancies

Our program provides an ongoing law clerk opportunity from April – December of each year. The program is open to penultimate and final year students. Students clerk around their academic timetable between 1 day and 2 days per week. We provide time off during exam preparation period and attendance.

4. Victoria Law Foundation Legal Sector Internship Program 2010/11

Applications are invited from law students for the Victoria Law Foundation 2010/11 Legal Sector Internship Program.

The program facilitates mutually beneficial relationships between law students and public sector agencies, government, the judiciary and other legal institutions. Participants gain experience in areas such as legal policy development, research, community legal education and legal and community sector capacity building that may inform their career choices and professional thinking.

Organisations welcome the voluntary assistance afforded by talented law students and appreciate the opportunity to promote their work to potential employees and colleagues.

Now in its seventh year of operation, the program has attracted high calibre students whose interests and experience are then matched with the particular project needs of participating organisations.
