Are you interested in research? The Australian Centre for Justice Innovation in the Law Faculty is running a Vacation Research Scholarship program in July 2021. This program provides students with paid experience working with a faculty member in an area of research with recognition listed on your academic transcript. Project topics span research in tax, family, environmental, social security, administrative and tort law and dispute resolution.

3. Court of Appeal of Western Australia Legal & Administrative Associate

Applications are sought from law graduates or part-time law students for the position of Legal and Administrative Associate to President Buss of the Court of Appeal of Western Australia.

4. Supreme Court of Western Australia Associateships

Applications are invited for the positions of Associate and Research Associate to the Hon Justice Pritchard, President of the State Administrative Tribunal, to commence in January 2022.

The successful applicants will be based at the State Administrative Tribunal but will also assist Justice Pritchard in relation to matters in the Court of Appeal.

Both positions are offered for a period of 12 months. At the discretion of the Court, the tenure of this position may include a subsequent two weeks.

3. Job Opportunities: Associate and Research Associate to the Hon Justice Pritchard

Applications are invited for the positions of Associate and Research Associate to the Hon Justice
Pritchard, President of the State Administrative Tribunal, to commence in January 2022.
The successful applicants will be based at the State Administrative Tribunal but will also assist Justice
Pritchard in relation to matters in the Court of Appeal.
Both positions are offered for a period of 12 months. At the discretion of the Court, the tenure of this
position may include a subsequent two weeks.

Prospective applicants should possess the following attributes:

 A law degree (completed as at January 2022);
 A high level of academic achievement (Honours or equivalent is desirable but not essential);
 High-level research and analytical skills;
 Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills; and
 Editorial skills are an advantage.

Interviews will be conducted on 30 April 2021.

The successful applicants should be available to attend the Associates’ Induction Programme
from Tuesday 4 January to Monday 10 January 2022.

The successful applicants may also be invited to attend three days of paid handover in November or
December 2021, subject to consultation between the applicant and the Court.

2. EY Oceania Corporate Finance Woman of the Year

This global EY student competition hosted in over 20 countries, seeks to identify and attract future female talent while strengthening the EY Strategy and Transactions brand on campus and beyond.

What

The EY Oceania competition will be targeting undergraduate female identifying students who are on track to complete their studies from 2021-2023. To enter, participants will complete an entry form, attaching their CV, recent academic transcript and photo ID. In the second stage, participants will respond to two questions demonstrating their understanding of transactions and the broader business environment, as well as building a better working world.

When

Regional Finals will be hosted virtually the week commencing 28 September and Regional Winners will all receive a paid EY internship in Strategy and Transactions and progress to the Oceania Final taking place on 29 October 2020.

3. Get involved in MITI

The Monash Industry Team Initiative (MITI) Program is an Australian first

MITI facilitates a direct pathway to connect leading Australian and global industry partners and multidisciplinary student teams from Monash University to collaborate and design innovative solutions to solve real business challenges and problems that are unique to individual organisations.

Industry partners host teams of between two and four students at undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD level. Students are paid via a scholarship agreement to complete a defined project over 10-12 weeks from December to February.
