Are you interested in working in Hong Kong in an International Legal Practice?

If you are considering pursuing a long term legal career in Hong Kong, a June/July 2011 summer placement with Allen & Overy may be the very best place to start.  A & O is an international law firm with more than 36 offices in 26 countries across the world.  Allen & Overy is looking for Monash University law students interested in participating in a first-class training programme, gain global experience, work on cutting-edge deals and learn from lawyers who are leaders in their field of practice.

Prior to the Information Session – from 12.30 until 1 pm – there will also now be a mini-exhibition hosted by AOHK’s Graduate Recruitment Manager, Julia Sheng, in the law basement.  Come along and receive some information about the summer placement program, talk to Julia and find out more from two past A & O interns, Alice Zhang and Cameron Harvey who will also be there to answer your questions.

3. Scholarship – The Aurora Native Title Internship Program

The Aurora Native Title Internship Program places law, anthropology and other social science (archaeology, cultural heritage, environmental management,  human geography, history and sociology) students and graduates from Australian universities at Native Title Representative Bodies (NTRBs) and other organisations involved in policy development, social justice and Indigenous affairs.   The program introduces candidates to career opportunities in native title and Indigenous affairs and at the same time provides assistance to under-resourced and over-worked organisations.

Applications for the upcoming Winter 2011 round of Aurora internships will be open from Monday 7 March to Friday 1 April, 2011. Applications can be submitted on-line via the Aurora website at www.auroraproject.com.au.
