  • LLM (Master of Law) or

  • MCL (Masters Degree in Corporate Law) programs

Pathway structure

UG or JD students who have successfully completed half of the LLB or JD may apply to Monash for admission to the LLM or MCL program at Cambridge in accordance with Cambridge’s application dates.

Decisions regarding admission will be made by Cambridge after the receipt of grades for approximately two thirds of the student’s law studies at Monash.  It is not guaranteed that Cambridge will accept all students who apply.

Students accepted into and completing the Program will begin their LLM or MCL studies at Cambridge in October (Term 1) following completion of the penultimate semester of the LLB or JD program at Monash.

Successful completion of the LLM or MCL at Cambridge will normally be accepted by Monash in substitution for the final 4 Law electives or maximum of 24 credit points of the LLB or JD Program.

At no time will Cambridge apply Monash course credits to a student’s LLM or MCL degree; students will be required to complete four courses at Cambridge for the LLM degree, or two courses and four modules for the MCL degree.  Cambridge will not permit work submitted for credit at Monash to be resubmitted for credit on the LLM or MCL degree.
