2. Fair Work Ombudsman

The Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) is an independent statutory office established by the Fair Work Act 2009. The role of the FWO is to promote harmonious, productive and cooperative workplace relations and ensure compliance with Australian workplace laws.

The Compliance and Enforcement branch is primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009. This includes conducting investigations and audits to determine compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

The FWO are seeking exceptional candidates for the role of Fair Work Inspector.

If you have a background in government or regulatory investigations, financial or insurance investigations, or workplace investigations, the role of Fair Work Inspector will interest you.

Roles may be offered for a non-ongoing period of 12 months initially, with the possibility of becoming ongoing.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Lawyer to join our expanding and busy Employment Practice. We are looking for someone who has a passion for employment law, and genuinely wants to succeed and develop their career within the employment and industrial relations space.

4. Shared Services Clerk

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Casual Shared Services Clerk to join our expanding and busy Firm. Working two to three days per week, we are looking for a motivated and team orientated individual, who enjoys working in a collaborative, vibrant and hard working team.

To be successful in this role, you must display the following:

  • Experience working in a corporate environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Take pride in your professional presentation and commitment to superior customer service
  • Possess exceptional communication and administration skills
  • Be comfortable to work autonomously and multi-task across a variety of front of house and administration tasks
  • Be competent in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Demonstrate high levels of attention to detail in everything you do

Some of your duties include:

  • Sorting and distributing mail / deliveries
  • Maintaining office documents, including deeds and archiving systems on Lexis Affinity
  • Maintain utility rooms with sufficient stationary and other basic office requisites by ordering as required.
  • Photocopying and binding of documents
  • Undertake deliveries, lodgments and banking at various sites
  • Provide reception relief and assist reception when required
  • Liaising with service technicians for building issues, and arranging for maintenance to be carried out.
  • Set-up and pack-up of meeting rooms for internal and external meetings, seminars and functions
  • Preparing teas and coffees for clients
  • Cleaning the staff kitchen and ensure the dishwashers are turned on each evening

This role will suit anyone who would be willing to make the role their own, kick start their career and genuinely wants to succeed in the position.

5. Paralegal, Clayton Utz – Japanese language skills required

Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane

Hours: January/February – Casual 3 days + per week availability

Remuneration: $30 per hour + super

The Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from law students or law graduates who have Japanese language skills for paralegal vacancies.

To be successful in securing one of these excellent positions, you will:

  • Have Japanese Native or bilingual proficiency language skills
  • Be currently completing or have completed a law degree with a strong academic record
  • Be able to work a minimum of 3-5 days per week
  • Previous work experience in any field (paid or unpaid) is highly regarded
  • Previous paralegal or legal experience is also highly regarded but not essential
  • Hold Australian working rights visa or permanent residency (over 20 hours per week)
