Department of Treasury & Finance – Diversity Scholarship 2020

The Department of Treasury and Finance has recently launched the Diversity Scholarship 2020!
This exciting new scholarship supports a talented member of the community from a diverse background to undertake tertiary study in the 2020 academic year. The recipient of this Scholarship will receive both financial (up to $30,000) and non-financial support, which includes an opportunity to participate in a work placement at the Department of Treasury and Finance.
It’s open to students studying during 2020 in one of the following fields:
  • Economics;
  • Engineering;
  • Science;
  • Technology;
  • Mathematics (Data Analytics and Statistics);
  • Business;
  • Finance;
  • Accounting; or
  • Public Policy or Political Studies.
The Scholarship is open to all individuals from diverse backgrounds including, but not limited to: someone who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander; someone with a disability or who cares for a person with a disability; someone from a disadvantaged or low socio-economic background; someone from a multicultural or refugee background; or someone who identifies as LGBTIQ.

CareerFitter’s 17th Annual Scholarship

International Students Can Apply by 31 January 2020

Eligibility

  • All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited US college or university for the semester, they are applying to receive the scholarship
  • Applicants must have a GPA average above 2.4
  • Applicants are not required to have a specific major
  • Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply
  • Students attending online universities are welcome to apply

*This year CareerFitter’s doubled their scholarship from $500 to $1000 and the deadline for 2020 is January 31

Dr Bomi Joseph Scholarship

Dr. Bomi Joseph Post-Secondary Scholarship Program

The Dr. Joseph Bomi Program consists of one scholarship which will be awarded to the applicant that, in addition to meeting the eligibility criteria, writes the most compelling essay based on the essay guidelines. The total monetary value of the scholarship is $1,500 USD, and the deadline for submissions is November 29, 2019.

Eligibility

To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in their first year of study in a medical/healthcare program at an accredited college or university. Applicants from all over the world are eligible to apply.

All applicants must submit proof of acceptance or enrolment. Failure to provide adequate documentation will result in disqualification.

Only successful applicants of the Dr. Bomi Joseph Scholarship Program will be contacted. The scholarship payment will be made directly to the student to be used toward tuition and education-related expenses.

Scholarship Application Requirements

Applicants must write an essay of 500 words explaining the following:

  • Your background
  • What makes you interested in pursuing a career in the medical/healthcare field
  • How you can make a difference in the field
  • How you plan to give back to the community after graduation
  • Why you deserve this opportunity
  • How you will use the scholarship fund
