WISE Employment Sponsors Full-Tuition Scholarship for Masters Level Study for Students with Disabilities

WISE Employment is committed to empowering individuals with disabilities, illnesses, injuries, and other disadvantages to thrive in their careers.

Their primary goal is to assist people in developing their capabilities to secure meaningful employment and lead fulfilling lives independently.

In line with this vision, WISE (who also provide the award-winning GradWISE program for Monash – and other – students) are thrilled to announce the launch of a new full-tuition scholarship, specially curated to support a person with a disability in pursuing masters level study at a Melbourne Business School.

Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship Opportunity for New Postgraduate Students

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN: 2024 Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship

Up to 17 scholarships valued to $120,000 each are available for individuals from all backgrounds who are planning to start postgraduate coursework or PhD studies in 2024.

The Westpac Future Leaders Scholarships offer a bespoke 9-month leadership program designed to foster leadership potential and offers opportunities to gain global experience, including overseas travel opportunities, and life-long access to the W100 Scholars Network.

Applications For The 2024 NSW Government Graduate Program are Now Open

Please be aware that applications for the 2024 NSW Government Graduate Program are now open.

The 18-month Program offers three unique rotations across government agencies, and allows graduates to build their own career, no matter what degree they studied.

They are looking for talented and passionate graduates and final year university students from all disciplines and backgrounds looking to launch their career in NSW Government.

There are exciting roles on offer across Sydney metro and regional NSW.

As a proud employer who values diversity, NSW Government is committed to reflecting the community they serve, and they would like to encourage people with disability to apply to the Program.

Increasing the representation and inclusion of people with disability in their workforce is a priority, and the Graduate Program is well-placed to provide a supportive work environment with opportunities for graduates to shape their skills and career how they would like.

  • Ongoing (permanent) role offer on successful completion of the Program.

In 2024, the Program will employ graduates in five streams: Primary, Legal, Digital, Social Work and Engineering streams.

JobAccess Celebrates 17 Years of Service and Innovation this July!

Since 2006, JobAccess has been the first port of call on everything related to disability employment.

Over the years:

  • JobAccess has assisted more than 440,000 people – including jobseekers with disability, employers and service providers – with expert advice, support and information.
  • JobAccess has managed over 63,000 applications for funding workplace modifications. And each one has made a difference in supporting the employment and retention of people with disability in the workforce.
  • The National Disability Recruitment Coordinator (NDRC) has partnered with over 380 large organisations to build their disability confidence and competence.
  • Since 2012, the CRRS and the Hotline have lodged more than 15,700 complaints or reports of abuse to improve outcomes for people with disability and service providers.

Industry Mentoring Program Now Open

AND has applications for the Spring 2023 intake for their free national PACE Mentoring Program! Students, graduates and jobseekers with any types of disability, mental health condition or chronic illness will have the opportunity to be mentored by an industry professional from one of the Australian leading businesses and organisations from August to December 2023.

International students are welcome to apply too.

Summer and winter research scholarships are run over the summer and winter breaks.

If you’re interested in a research career or furthering your studies through an honours program, this is a great opportunity to get ahead over the holidays.

Research scholarships aim to provide you with:

The Australian Government is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the full-time statutory position of Disability Discrimination Commissioner at the Australian Human Rights Commission. The advertisement and candidate pack are accessible here.

The Disability Discrimination Commissioner is responsible for the promotion and advancement of rights of people with disability, including promoting understanding and compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
