Specialisterne Australia offers an alternative pathway for people on the autism spectrum to connect with employers who recognise and value the contributions and talents that individuals on the spectrum can bring to their organisations.

They offer a tailored workshop and assessment program whereby candidates can demonstrate their skills and abilities in a practical, hands-on environment directly to employers.

Specialisterne is excited to be partnering with Westpac once again following their successful initial Tailored Talent program in 2017. As such, Specialisterne is seeking to attract the skills and abilities of prospective individuals on the autism spectrum who can contribute to Westpac’s workforce.

Westpac recognises that one of their greatest assets is the diversity their staff bring to the organisation and they remain focused on building a culture of inclusiveness which celebrates neurodiverse talent.

Types of roles available:

  • Information Security Analyst
  • Business Analyst
  • Systems Administration & Infrastructure Engineer
  • Software Testing & Quality Assurance Engineer
  • Risk & Surveillance Analyst
  • Financial Analyst.

Location of roles: The physical location of these roles are within the Sydney CBD & Kogarah NSW however as a result of COVID-19 health restrictions most of the roles will be working from home.

Applicant requirements:

  • Must be aged 18 years or older
  • Must have a diagnosis of autism (including Autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s disorder, Autistic disorder, or PDD-NOS)
  • Must have proof of Australian Citizenship or permanent residence visa & agree to Westpac’s background checks.
  • Will have to satisfy Westpac’s pre-employment suitability checks & Security Clearances at the end of the selection process.
  • Must be able to attend the entire Specialisterne Workshop & Assessment Online Program commencing Monday 26th October- 13th November (See below for further details)
  • Must be able to attend one pre-selection workshop online between the hours of 9am-3pm on either Monday 12th, Tuesday 13th or Wednesday 14th of October.

The following experience or ability to demonstrate these skills will be highly regarded however they are not essential:

  • A strong interest or ability to learn any of the following: Data Analytics, Software Testing, Automation, Application Development, Cyber Security, IT Systems Administration, Business Analysis, Financial Analysis, Fraud, Criminology, Risk
  • An understanding or ability to learn software, concepts and toolsets such as – SAS, Alteryx, Splunk, Tableau, advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Jira, SharePoint, VBA, SQL, Selenium, UFT, Linux, Unix and Windows Server, bash / scripting and programming languages such as Python, Perl, etc
  • Motivated, focused and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Obtained a TAFE Qualification or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, Software Development, Cyber Security, Finance or related discipline or have real-world experience in the same or similar fields

As part of the WinterFest 2020 calendar, Monash Sport is extremely proud to present Zumba After Dark Online.

Ditch the workout and join the party this August for a night bursting with colour, energy and entertainment from the comfort of your living room.
