2. Monash University Law Review Editorial Committee Applications Now Open

Applications are open for places on the Editorial Committee of the Monash University Law Review for 2017.

The Review is the flagship academic publication of the Faculty of Law. It is managed by a student editorial team, with the assistance of faculty advisers. The editorial team undertakes a range of tasks, such as copy-editing, managing correspondence, and arranging production of the Review. The Editorial Committee in particular mainly undertakes the editing of articles in accordance with the AGLC, collation and review of sources, and proofreading. Involvement with the Review provides students with valuable practical skills in legal research, writing and editing, and is highly regarded by law firms and other potential employers.

If you would like to apply to join the Editorial Committee, please send your CV, covering letter, and unofficial academic transcript to law.review@monash.edu by Friday 10 February 2017 with the subject line ‘2017 Committee Application’. Your cover letter should outline your reasons for applying and your suitability for the role. Please also include your expected graduation date. Applicants with at least one full year of study remaining will be preferred.

1. Penn Undergraduate Law Journal – call for student submissions

Penn Undergraduate Law Journal at Penn Law School in the USA is on the lookout for “talented and passionate” undergraduate students to submit papers to the upcoming issue.

Undergraduate students in any field of study are welcome to submit work, so long as your piece relates to law or the legal system.

The Journal is after papers that deal with the law in any jurisdiction, not just the USA.

1. International LLM opportunity – Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law

You are invited to apply for the Parasol Foundation Trust International LL.M Program at Tel Aviv University Faculty of Law for the academic year 2017-2018.

Students can choose a general course of study or may specialise in:

Applicants to the International LL.M. must have completed an undergraduate degree in law (LL.B., JD, and Bachelor of Laws) prior to starting the LL.M. degree. Students in their final year of first degree studies may apply, and will be accepted on the condition they finish their first degree in good standing (above 80/100).

2. Italy research scholarships – International Institute for the Unification of Private Law

The International Institute for the Unification of Private Law invites applications for its research scholarships. These support top-level lawyers wishing to conduct research in the fields of uniform or comparative private law.

Postgraduate law students, academics, government officials with a good working knowledge of English or French may apply. Special attention will be given to applicants from developing and emerging economies.

Scholarships last for six weeks to two months. Between 15 and 20 scholarships are awarded each year. Funding will cover all or part of the cost of living expenses in Rome, Italy.
