Cultural activities will also be included, with students getting to visit La Poderosa, the Former Clandestine Detention Centre and Parque de la Memoria.

International Commercial ADR: Negotiation, Mediation and Arbitration – USA

Info: http://aimoverseas.com.au/program/international-commercial-alternative-dispute-resolution

This January 2017 holidays, Law students will have an exciting opportunity to study key issues in resolving commercial disputes through negotiation, mediation, and arbitration in the context of globalisation. Taught by Michigan State University, one of the USA’s prestigious “Big 10” Universities; this 3-week program will help students from across Australia explore the use of negotiation to create transactions in the first place and to resolve disputes when they arise. It further examines more structured dispute resolution techniques involving neutral third parties — mediation and arbitration. Finally, students will be exposed to the use of arbitration as a commercial remedy – its basic operational framework and the arbitral institutions which promulgate rules and administer cases.
