Submit an Item
To submit an item to the gazette please visit the submission page. If you do not have access to the law intranet, you can email the Student Gazette with your submission at law-studentgazette@monash.edu. Emailed submissions must still adhere to the guidelines below.
*NEW* Submission Guidelines
- The submission text entry box has been removed and notices for inclusion in the gazette must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document. Please note the following formatting requirements:
- Please use ‘Normal’ line spacing and size 10 font
- For event notices please format as follows:
- Date:
- Time:
- Venue:
- Cost: (if applicable)
- Include a link to a website (if applicable)
- Please submit any additional material such as; flyers, invitations, brochures etc. as a .pdf. Files not submitted as a .pdf cannot be uploaded to the bulletin.
- Ensure all content, with sufficient details, is included in your submission. This includes dates, deadlines, a clear/concise explanation, links to further information, contact details, category, title, etc.
- Submissions are due 5pm Friday. Anything received after this time will be placed in the gazette the following week.
- Notices will not be run for any longer than three consecutive weeks unless resubmitted. Please note; the duration of your inclusion is at the discretion of the gazette coordinator.
Advertising a Volunteer or Employment Position
If you are hoping to offer a position (paid or unpaid) to Monash Law students, there are appropriate channels you need to adhere to vet the opportunity before it is advertised to students. This is to keep Monash students safe and supported in the workplace. To advertise a position please follow the below links; do not email your positions through as specified above.
- Volunteer positions: please visit Volunteering at Monash and follow the instructions
- Paid positions: please visit Monash Careers Gateway and follow the instructions.
If these guidelines are not adhered to, your submission will not be run. It is your duty to ensure all content is correct, and follows the above guidelines.
