The duration of this position is approximately four months, depending on the volume of material, commencing in late November/early December 2013.

1. Summer Research Scholarships 2014

The Parliamentary Library is offering six-week Summer Research Scholarships in January–February 2014 to support a research project on a topic of mutual interest to the Scholar and to the Australian Parliament.

We are seeking applications from Honours or postgraduate tertiary degree students who are undertaking research in an aspect of Australian public policy, law, politics, economics or parliamentary practice. The successful applicant will receive privileged access to the Parliamentary Library’s collections and facilities, interaction with relevant expert librarians and researchers in the Parliamentary Library, and an honorarium of $1,800 provided at the completion of the program.

The Scholarships are open to Australian citizens and those with Permanent Resident status only.
