2. Law Library Renovations

The Law Library will be undergoing some renovations in the foyer area over the next few weeks, starting on Monday November 25 and lasting for not more than 2 or 3 weeks. The week of Nov 25 should not involve much noise or disruption, but in the following week there will be some demolition and removal of the furniture (information/loans desk and returns bench) and some drilling to the floor to install cabling. At the end, the result will be an enhanced Information point and reserve area. This is part of an upgrade to service point areas at Hargrave-Andrew, Peninsula and Law Libraries.

There are 3 Summer units running in Nov/Dec, so we will have the reserve books for those units readily available next to the Holds shelves, and there will be no disruption to borrowing.

1. Temporary Exclusion of non-Monash Users from Caulfield Library

In an effort to provide Monash students with the greatest possible access to available study space at this critical time of the academic year, Caulfield Library will be accessible to Monash users only from 14 October to 15 November 2013.

This temporary policy is being introduced to alleviate the shortage of study space experienced at Caulfield during the exam study period, when use is at its peak.

To assist with enforcing this policy, staff and students from all campuses who plan to use Caulfield Library over this period are encouraged to carry their Monash ID . This will minimise inconvenience and ensure you are not delayed at the library entrance.

Please note that the exclusion does not apply to Sir John Monash Science School and Nossal High School students.

The exclusion is also not being applied at any other Monash campus libraries.
