1. Globalink Canada Research Internship now accepting applications

The student call for applications for Globalink Research Internships is now open.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday 20 September 2016, at 4:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).

The Globalink Research Internship offers a 12-week research project at Canadian universities for high-achieving senior undergraduates from Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Tunisia. Starting May 2017, approved students travel to Canada, where they work with a faculty supervisor and other researchers at their host universities.

Interns receive:

  • Stipend for living expenses
  • Professional development workshops
  • Local Globalink Mentors

2. Study in Indonesia in Semester 1 2017

New Colombo Plan mobility grants are available to undergraduate Monash University students wishing to spend Semester 1 2017 studying in Indonesia on one of ACICIS Study Indonesia’s in-country programs.

This program provides students with a unique opportunity to study Islamic/Indonesian Business, Law or Society, or a combination thereof, at an Islamic university in the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation.

3. University of Pennsylvania Undergraduate Law Journal – call for submissions

The Penn Undergraduate Law Journal is looking for papers ranging from 20 to 100+ double-spaced pages in length.

The journal is especially receptive to research papers, senior theses, and independent studies or final papers written for classes.

Papers need not be on American law – they can be on the laws or legal system of any country. PULJ considers submissions on a rolling basis for each issue, so if your piece is not finished by the deadline, please still submit it upon completion.

Students in any field of study are encouraged to submit their work, so long as their piece relates to the law or the legal system. Possible disciplinary perspectives include, but are not limited to: History, Criminology, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, English, Biology, Neuroscience, Philosophy, Linguistics, Psychology, and Political Science.

1. Learn to lead! Apply now for the Vice-Chancellor’s Ancora Imparo Program

Do you have a vision for positive change in society? Would you like to unlock your leadership potential to help bring this about?

We’re looking for first-year students with these aspirations to join the prestigious Ancora Imparo Student Leadership Program in 2017. The program offers an opportunity to improve your community while developing your leadership skills.

Participants will meet and hear from some of Australia’s most inspiring leaders in business, politics, sport, public service, education, health, law and the arts. Past speakers include Christine Nixon APM, Julian Burnside QC AO, and CEOs of non-profit organisations, such as Jack Manning Bancroft of Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) and Dr Sam Prince of One Disease.

If awarded a position in the program, you will

  • receive a stipend of $500
  • immerse yourself in the theories and practice of leadership at a fully-funded, three-day residential program in February
  • take part in eight exclusive interactive evening seminars throughout the academic year
  • be invited to the Ancora Imparo graduation ceremony.

After completing this unique program, you may be called upon to volunteer as a student leader or mentor, to attend leadership summits or lunches, or to address staff forums. Your insight will be greatly valued.

The Hochschulwinterkurs scholarship is mainly geared towards second-year students with German skills of at least level B1 according to the European framework of references for languages.

The deadline for applications is Monday 15 August 2016.

Applications are open now and must be submitted via the DAAD online portal.

4. The Undergraduate Awards – applications close 14 June 2016

Applications for the Undergraduate Awards 2016 close Tuesday 14 June 2016.

Cited as the ultimate champion for high-potential undergraduates, The Undergraduate Awards is the world’s only pan-discipline academic awards programme, identifying leading creative thinkers through their undergraduate coursework.

UA also has 24 additional categories into which essays may be submitted, please have a look to see if you have work for other categories too.

UA is open to all penultimate and final year students, as well as 2015 graduates, of all disciplines.

Monash is affiliated with The Undergraduate Awards and students can submit up to three papers online here and be in with a chance to win an international award for their undergraduate coursework; students submit work they have already completed as part of their undergraduate degree once it meets the eligibility criteria.
